What is Microsoft Women in AI Hackathon?

🚀 Get ready for the groundbreaking “Women in AI” Hackathon, an exclusive event tailored for female university students from South-East Europe, including countries such as Türkiye, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Slovenia. This unique occasion is crafted to empower participants to harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), showcasing their talents, fostering mutual learning, and collaborating on cutting-edge AI projects.

👩‍💻 Our mission is clear: to inspire young women to realize their full potential in technology and propel them towards rewarding careers in the field. With a dedicated focus on AI for Good, participants will engage in cross-country teamwork, developing pilot projects with the potential to make a tangible impact on the world.

Application Process

Terms of Participants

  • The applicants must be 18 and above and currently enrolled in a university in any type of diploma (undergraduate, masters or PHD) or recent graduate)
  • Applicants must be residents of the below countries: Türkiye, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Slovenia
  • Language requirements: Applicants should have an excellent understanding of English as all sessions will be in English
  • Technology knowledge requirements: Applicants should have AI experience (course, project, internship, thesis etc)
  • PC requirements: Applicants must have Windows 10 (or latest) or MacOS latest version and the Microsoft Teams application installed
  • Applicants are welcome to imagine and implement any solution that they're passionate about, utilizing Microsoft Azure AI services and respecting key principles such as diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
  • Verifying eligibility: Coderspace reserves the right to verify your eligibility. You agree to provide Coderspace with any proof of eligibility requested by CoderSpace and your refusal or failure to timely provide such proof may result in the disqualification from the hackathon

Winners Announced & Wrap Up – Feedback Form

Female university students or recent graduates aged 18 and above living in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Serbia, Slovenia, , Türkiye. University students can be enrolled in any type of diploma (undergraduate, masters or PHD).
The event is open to female students studying at university, who are motivated to self-improve in the technology sector, aspiring to gain experience in the field of artificial intelligence, and wanting to be a part of Microsoft.
Individual applications can be made. Groups will be formed during the hackathon.
No fee will be charged to participants.
The event will be organized online.
You only need to fill out the registration form on the website by February 25th. A confirmation email will be sent to approved applicants.
The hackathon will be held in English, but coaches will provide support in their local language during the hackathon application process.
