Challenge Format

The competition will be active between 09:00 on Saturday 23 August and 23:59 on Sunday 24 August.

Challenge content: You’ll receive a test based on the position you select from the list below:

• GO Backend Developer
• Node.js Backend Developer
• QA Engineer
• Senior DevOps Engineer

*The technical test will be sent to selected applicants on August 22.

Functional Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 🔍
• Effective communication and collaboration in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment 🤝
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code or configurations
• Familiarity with agile development workflows and CI/CD processes ⚙️
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential 🌍

Role-specific skills include:

• Go Backend Engineer (2+ years): Hands-on experience in Golang and Python, Strong understanding of POS and other third-party integrations, Designing and implementing secure software solutions, Proficiency in databases and their concepts, Knowledge of REST APIs and Microservices
• QA Engineer (3+ years): Experience in test automation, strong knowledge of Python testing frameworks, Selenium, test-case management tools (e.g., Testmo/Testrail), API testing (Postman/Swagger), CI/CD processes, PostgreSQL, and experience with distributed tracing (Jaeger) and mobile testing platforms like BrowserStack.
• Senior DevOps Engineer (3+ years): Strong experience in AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), observability tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana), centralized logging (Loki), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and scripting in Python or Bash
• Node.js Backend Developer (1-3 years): Solid TypeScript and Node.js knowledge, Experience with NestJS or similar frameworks (Express, Fastify), Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Working knowledge of Redis, Understanding of RESTful API best practices, Exposure to CI/CD workflows

Functional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver high-impact features and improvements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code or test logic aligned with best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and proactively resolve issues to ensure a seamless user experience
• Contribute to a fast-paced agile environment, participating in code reviews and iterative development
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through thoughtful planning and execution

Role-specific responsibilities:

• Go Backend Engineer: Develop secure and scalable integrations with third-party POS systems using Golang
• QA Engineer: Design and run test cases, identify bugs, and ensure product quality through automation and reporting
• Senior DevOps Engineer: Build and manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability systems to support platform scalability
• Node.js Backend Developer: Focus on building backend services and APIs for internal and vendor-facing platforms

• This will be a timed challenge.
• Please make sure you are not interrupted during the challenge, as the timer cannot be paused once started.
